Portugal 2026 2€ Rotary ROLL

The national side of the coin designated "Rotary" features a stylized representation of seven human figures around a sphere marked by parallel latitudinal lines suggesting the planet Earth. The Rotary Club

The Rotary Club is an international volunteer organization founded in 1905 that brings together people from different professions with the goal of serving their communities and promoting humanitarian causes worldwide. Present in more than 200 countries and regions, Rotary develops projects in the areas of education, health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, and peace promotion.

In Portugal, the first Rotary club was founded in Lisbon in 1926. For over a century, Portuguese clubs have supported numerous solidarity initiatives, scholarships, youth programs, and actions to support the most vulnerable populations.

Rotary's motto, "Service Above Self," reflects the commitment of its members to placing service to the community above personal interests, contributing to a more just, supportive, and sustainable world.
