INCM issues (2002-2025)
The Portuguese Mint - Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda (INCM) - is the result of the merger of the Imprensa Nacional and the Casa da Moeda in 1972.
INCM is responsible for the production of goods and services that are fundamental to the functioning of the Portuguese State, such as the minting of metal coins, among others.

2 Euro
The 2 euro coin weighs 8.5 grams and has a diameter of 25.75 mm. It is made of two alloys: brass-nickel on the inner circle and copper-nickel on the outer ring. The common side was designed by Luc Luycx, a Belgian artist who won an European competition. Since 2004, 2 euro commemorative coins have been minted and issued by the eurozone countries.

The 2.50 euro coins are collector coins issued in Portugal. They celebrate anniversaries, national heritage or mark important dates in the history of Portugal, whether they be important achievements or figures. They are minted with a normal finish - in cupronickel - or with a PROOF finish in .925 Silver or .999 Gold versions. The first 2.50€ coin was minted in 2008.
